The sun is in the center of the Solar system and provides the energy and heat. It is about 93 million miles away from Earth. Without the sun rays, the earth would not be able to support life. The sun's solar rays could affect the earth's climate in both negative and positive ways. It also makes a process called photosynthesis possible. Photosynthesis takes in CO2 and water ,producing glucose(energy) and oxygen for humans and animals to use. The sun is essenial to the Earth's survival. Recently, NASA has done experiments with sun reasearch and currently it is a very hot topic to study.
